The First RUN91 Rally
This was the first attempt at a large scale event. Along the journey we made new friends, new memories and a new outlook on how we can progress. the 2018 event was a success, and 2019 will be even better! Read on for more details about the first rally!
We were greeted at Calabogie Motorsports Park with smiles and handshakes, meeting a lot of new faces! The team got the tents ready with the help of a couple of the participants and began the sign in process. Handing out the registration packages, helping to prep cars, followed by a drivers meeting before we roll out!
Lining up to exit the gates of Calabogie Motorsports Park , the horns started blaring, we were getting pumped up. A couple of last minute Instagram stories and photos and we were on our way.
Our first rest stop was right by the water and caught group photo. Talked about the journey so far, dialed in our walkie-talkies and got back on track towards the next stop!
Gassing up our cars and our selves with some delicious food from the infamous Spud Box in Kaladar. Taking over this gas station with 30+ cars was a hell of a sight.
One last stop before Ertefa! There was a cop in the parking lot that we stopped at but no issues, a little head nod and he went off on his way.
Ertefa was a cool show! some stunt riders popping wheelies and burnouts, a little rally demonstration along the oval track, and some seriously stance’d cars!
Camping at Selkirk park. Celebrating with a few party supplies, keeping the campfires lit while some went to bed a little earlier. Was quite a wild night!
We woke up to pouring rain. Quickly packed up and went out to grab a quick breakfast at the local diner. Skeptical about going to CSCS (Canadian Sport Compact Series) due to the weather, a few decided to depart early while the rest decided to endure the weather and check out the event.
With the first Run91 Rally under our belts, we hope to improve and build this event for 2019! We recieved very helpful feedback and plan on addressing these issues.
