About the Team

  • About me; how do I not make this sound cheesy? It started from the early days of Grand Turismo; being 8 years old playing a game where your racing line mattered, at that age I had no idea what that was. I got better and turned to casual karting, turning towards the mechanics of how a car works and how to lightly modify. A lot of people say “it’s not about the destination, but the journey” – I couldn’t agree more: the community is filled with amazing people and a lot of whom are helpful. ‘The Greasy Fix’ wasn’t created to just take some photos or unify the community: it was created to truly show the real side of automotive enthusiasts.

  • As cliche as it sounds, the old Hot Wheels slogan did it. It lead the way. Ever since my first Hot Wheels I knew cars was going to be my thing. I remember spending hours building tracks and racing them, trying to find out which ones the fastest, time well spent if you ask me. Fresh out of high school I went into learning the automotive trade and furthering my love for cars. Its an ever-changing world and my goal is to be at the center of it all.

  • For as long as I can remember, anything with wheels and a motor has intrigued me. At first it was just the styling of cars that interested me because I didn’t know much more about them, but once my eyes were opened to the world of DIY and making friends with people who share the same passion things just kept getting better. Driven by this fire inside me to achieve great things, life lead me to the amazing team at TGF. I strive to never stop improving and to meet as many amazing people as possible. Don’t let your dreams be dreams..

  • I think back on how it all started for me. Cars are a big part of who I am. Throughout my childhood and now. RC cars to the day I got my drivers license. As a mechanic I fix everything you could imagine and love doing it. I like to think I’m a bit wacky when it comes to the types of cars I drive. Anything from low and slow to loud and lifted I appreciate them all and what people put into them to make it their own.

  • It definitely grew on me. The more I was exposed to the cars and the community, before I knew it I was putting my own cars into shows and spending hours upon hours on car builds and projects. Believe or not if Kyle hadn’t made me get my license I wouldn’t be enjoying the rush and speed behind the wheel.

  • I think nearly every kid goes through a phase when they think cars are cool, but for a lot of people that’s where the road ends. It doesn’t develop into a long term interest for everybody. For me, it wound up being something I was incredibly passionate about but I didn’t realize right away. I was really into racing games as a kid, and that definitely opened my eyes to the cars I didn’t see on the road every day. When I got my learner’s permit at 16, it took about 3 months and I’d already bought my first car. That was it, that set the wheels in motion. I couldn’t even drive it alone, but it was mine and that was all I needed. I could compare how cars make me feel to the way that music does. They invoke emotions and feelings that can’t be replicated any other way. Immersing yourself in all that cars and motorsport have to offer is one of the most exhilarating things you can experience and being part of a growing community only adds to the enjoyment. Being a car enthusiast isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way of life.
